The A-T Children's Project funds medical research and a clinical center at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland (USA) aimed at finding life-improving therapies and a cure for ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T), a lethal genetic disease that attacks children, causing progressive loss of muscle control, immune system problems, and a high rate of cancer.
1. Clinical grant: We fund the A-T Clinical Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital in its ongoing pursuit to study patients and conduct patient trials aimed at finding life-improving therapies and a cure for A-T.
2. Research grants: We fund grants for biomedical research projects in our efforts to find life-improving therapies and a cure for A-T.
3. Awareness and Family Support: We publish and distribute newsletters and other information to families, friends, physicians, researchers and sponsors outlining the progress of A-T research and providing support.
