Description

Our Mission
For most young people, turning age 21 is cause for celebration - a rite of passage into adulthood and hope for the future. Not so for young adults with special needs. Turning 21 means they have to graduate from school and the key source of their social, learning and community interaction comes to a grinding halt. Applewood Centre for Adult Learning was established by parents who believe young adults with special needs are entitled to opportunities for personal growth and development following their graduation from the school system. Applewood offers an adult day program with a wide range of social, academic and recreational activities designed to meet individual needs.
