Description

The Community Nursing Registry of Ottawa is a nursing organization offering in-home nursing and personal care to the people of Ottawa for over 100 years.  Our services include nursing care for adults and children, personal care, assistance with activities of daily living, medication administration, Footcare and companion visits.
As a registered charity, our focus is on you and your needs.   Our team members are dedicated health care workers who believe that everyone should receive the right care at the right time, in the right place.   Our goal is to help you live the best life you can in your own home or place of residence.
Donations to the CNRO go to funding our Seniors programs.
 Footcare Program
Having healthy feet is an important factor in maintaining independence for an older adult.  Many older adults have trouble seeing or reaching their feet to identify problems and look after them.   A donation of $50/month for a year allows 2 seniors to receive regular foot care for a year.
 Companion Program
Social stimulation helps reduce confusion and promotes independence.    Many older adults are unable to access community resources and the Ottawa winters make it difficult for people to get out of their homes to visit with friends.   A friendly visitor helps reduce the loneliness that can be so detrimental to an older adult’s well-being.   A donation of $50/month gives someone 2 visits a month from a companion.
