Description
Enjoy an evening of poetry led by Poet Laureate, Lillian Allen. Readings will be shared of newly commissioned works by the students of Lillian Allen. This evening of poetry speaks to the way that belonging creates a sense of safety and power within Communities of Colour. Toronto History Museums celebrates Black History Month with Lifting Voices for Belonging, a series of programs which celebrates the many contributions and the enduring legacy of Black communities on this land now known as Canada.
