IPPNW Canada teaches, researches and addresses: the health consequences of violence, armed conflict, and weapons of mass destruction; the health consequences associated with energy resources and armed conflict; methods of nonviolent conflict resolution; and the promotion of social justice in a sustainable world.
IPPNW Canada is the Canadian affiliate of IPPNW, comprised of independent national medical organizations in 62 countries representing tens of thousands of doctors, medical students, health care workers and concerned citizens.
IPPNW Canada was previously known as Canadian Physicians for Research in Peace Education and derived from Physicians for Global Survival which was initiated in 1980.
