L'Arche Toronto is a registered charity and a community for women and men with and without intellectual disabilities. Each person is considered a gift and a contributing member of the society. Everyone belongs.
Founded on the principles of welcome and inclusion, we provide daily living and employment support, as well as two community inclusion programs -- a creative arts program, Sol Express,  and a life skills program, Trying It on For Size.
About L'Arche

L’Arche began in 1964 and today is an international network of 156 intentional communities in 38 countries where people with intellectual disabilities and their assistants live, work, and create home together. The women and men who live in our homes and who take part in our programs have intellectual disabilities such as down syndrome or are on the autism spectrum, others have a dual diagnosis involving mental health issues, and others also have physical disabilities in addition to their intellectual disability.
