Description

Moeen Centre is mandated to support young adults with disabilities. In Ontario, children are supported in education until the age of 21 through the public schooling system. After this age, there is limited support for people with disabilities. Often, it falls onto private organizations to provide programming for these young adults. There are only a handful of non-profit organizations that support young adults with disabilities. Therefore, Moeen Centre is committed to playing an active role in bridging the gap for these young adults.
At present, we provide a day program for young adults with physical and developmental challenges. Our day program is supported by our experienced staff and volunteers who teach a customized curriculum to our students. At Moeen Centre, we teach life skills, mathematics, language, music, and much more.
This past year, we have added a fitness class for children with disabilities and a social program for seniors in the GTA.
We are working hard to continue and improve all of our programs. We encourage you to volunteer with us or donate to Moeen Centre. To get involved or to learn more about us, please email us at [email protected].
