Description
This is a collection of 6 abstract kaleidoscopic photographic images that were created from site-specific source images marking occasions when random or senseless violence has affected the LGBTQ community. In the show case, there is an artist statement as well as the different locations pictured. For instance, there are two pieces for the Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting. There is one piece for Toronto as well as Montreal as we are not immune to this type of violence and aggressions. The work is in a window display in the heart of the Gay village. It is visible 24/7 and provides QR codes for an interactive experience. The display documents as well as commemorates. The educational component hopefully provides us with a better future.
