OUR MISION
Our mission is to reduce poverty by advancing science education and enabling innovation in low-resource communities. We do this by:
Training science teachers to incorporate hands-on STEM activities that foster scientific thinking and creative problem solving, using low-cost and locally-available materials.
Providing hands-on, collaborative workshops to enable local changemakers to shape their community.
ABOUT US
Pueblo Science was founded by scientists, engineers and educators in 2010 who wanted to change the way STEM education was being delivered in rural communities where they grew up and inspire the next generation of innovators.
Since 2010, Pueblo Science's local and international programs have impacted an estimated 450,000 children and 4,500 teachers in seven countries. We have also trained over 1,000 Canadians to develop and deliver our programs in Canada, the Philippines, Guyana, Jamaica, Thailand, India and Bolivia.
Most recently, we have worked with indigenous youth in Northern Ontario, Canada by providing hands-on science activities in their classrooms as requested by their teachers.
