The goal of the Sephardic Educational Foundation is to introduce, strengthen and continually nourish the multitude of spiritual and cultural activities that define the glorious panorama of the Jewish Sephardic experience. Since its inception in 1997, the Foundation has worked to welcome Jews of all backgrounds and traditions in its programs, celebrations, services and special occasions, all skillfully designed for families, children and people of all ages.
The Sephardic Educational Foundation is located in the Sephardic Kehila Centre, a majestic building crowned with a distinctive dome, situated in the heart of Jewish Toronto. Over the years, Torah personalities, political figures and Jews throughout North America and the world have visited the Centre to marvel at its authentic design, savor its ambiance and partake in the activities that define and exemplify the pulse of Sephardic tradition. All who have experienced the pleasurable yet profound spirit of the Kehila Centre hold the Sephardic Educational Foundation and its vital mission in the highest esteem.
To reach the diverse array of Jewish communities, the Sephardic Kehila Centre makes its outstanding facilities available to organizations, associations, businesses, families and individuals. The Centre’s two exquisite banquet halls and smaller social areas have hosted countless celebrations and exceptional events, such as High Holiday services, weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, graduation ceremonies, special birthdays and anniversaries, lectures, concerts, conferences, auctions and much more.
