"To preserve, honour, perpetuate and educate the public in memory of those who served".  
Focusing on local Veterans, military history, artifacts and vintage military vehicles, our objective is to arouse interest in the past and to encourage the preservation of historical information within Southern Ontario.  
To advance education by improving the public's understand and awareness of the military history of Southern Ontario and beyond by publishing/printing material; preserving military vehicles where possible; create a yearly muster for the public to observe, touch and educate; by holding public meetings, exhibitions, and by undertaking a variety of information sharing, publicity and public education programs.
The 2016 Southern Ontario Military Muster will be held on July 9 and 10 at the Windsor Sportsmen's Club, 2401 Dougall Avenue, Windsor, Ontario.  We will be honouring 75 years of Women in Canadian Military Service, 100 years of the Tank - featuring a Sherman Tank, remembering the Battles of Somme and Beaumont-Hamel, as well as featuring what was "Made in Windsor" during WWI and WWII.  
We also have an ongoing website project to honour all local Veterans called the "SOMM Remembers-Windsor and Essex County.
