As a vital, cultural asset for Waterloo Region, the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony inspires audiences of all ages and cultural backgrounds through its artistic excellence, innovative programming, and education & outreach programs.
About THE KITCHENER-WATERLOO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA ASSOCIATION INC
Founded in 1945, the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony is a core cultural organization for the Region of Waterloo and beyond. Our mandate is to inspire and unite our community through music. A diverse and rich musical season of over 200 concerts is presented over a 38-week concert season, reaching more than 102,000 people each year across the Region of Waterloo, Guelph, and Toronto. National and international attention has been garnered for our innovative programming and extensive, participatory education programs. Education and outreach programs serve our evolving community, tailored to a continuum of ages and all backgrounds. Through the Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts the KWS supports local theatre, music, and dance organizations. The KWS continues to be the largest employer of artists and cultural workers and the most significant cultural asset for Waterloo Region.
