Our Mission
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is a lay Catholic organization whose mission is to live the gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice and joy.
The mission of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul implies that as Vincentians we:
- see Christ in anyone who suffers;
- come together as a family;
- have personal contact with the poor; and,
- help in all possible ways.
About The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul - Kitchener-Waterloo Archangles Youth Conference
The Archangels Youth are focused on helping our friends, the poor, throughout Kitchener-Waterloo. Our main project is our monthly sandwich project, held on the Saturday before the last Friday of every month at Worth A Second Look.
We also are the lead organizers for the Pencil Case Project, a joint project with the International Council to collect new and used school supplies at the end of the school year. These supplies are sorted and shipped to a country in the Caribbean or South America. Previous destinations include Haiti, Dominican Republic and Jamaica, among others.Read more
