WoodGreen Community Services Throughout Toronto
WHAT WE DO IS WHO WE ARE
We are the charitable arm of WoodGreen Community Services, one of the largest social service agencies in Toronto. WoodGreen employs 800 staff and harnesses the energy of 1,000 volunteers. We are locals supporting locals throughout the city’s many communities. WoodGreen’s services have always been urgent but are even more so in these times of COVID-19.
WoodGreen helps homeless and marginalized people find safe and affordable Housing.
Struggling mothers benefit from our Homeward Bound program, with essentials like housing, childcare, tuition, and other supports for their college education.
Everyday our Community Care programs engage frail and lonely seniors and provides an opportunity for their caregivers to take care of themselves and get a break. While our Meals on Wheels staff and volunteers deliver seniors, the disabled and others much needed nutrition.
WoodGreen’s Advancing Potential programs help new Canadians settle in to life in Canada and internationally-trained professionals find their way into the job market.
Our Youth programs provide social, recreational, and mental health programs for young people.
Our eight Child Care Centres give parents access to quality child care.
