Our community development work has a special focus on food security. In 2019 we embarked on a large scale garden project called Edwin Binney's Community Garden. This garden has two main goals: reduce food insecurity and increase food literacy in the community. In our first year we harvested 5,500 pounds of produce that was donated to local food programs. To date, over 34,000 pounds of produce for food programs in City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton County.
