WonderBroads are breast cancer survivors who celebrate life and maximize wellness through dragon boat paddling. The WonderBroads Dragon boat team was formed in 2003 and all members paddle for fun, for exercise and to support each other - while increasing awareness about breast cancer and the benefits of dragon boating for all breast cancer survivors. Along with a healthy lifestyle, research has proven that, not only is exercise safe for breast cancer survivors, it can actually reduce rates of a recurrence and help to prevent lymphedema, too.
The WonderBroads Charitable Dragon Boat Racing Organization is a registered non-profit charity.
Our 2022 paddling season is on its way at our new home at the River Canard Outpost.  We are excited to be back in the boat and our new home.  From April to October, weather permitting, practices are scheduled on the water at River Canard Canoe Co. In addition to twice weekly practices, the team travels (locally, nationally and internationally) to participate in Breast Cancer Survivor dragon boat races and create awareness of life after a breast cancer diagnosis.  We look forward to this new adventure with Courage, Commitment, and Camaraderie as we get back to our passion of Dragon Boating.
Breast cancer survivors are invited to join in the sport of dragon boating. This group activity will enhance your life while developing new skills and new friendships.
