Description
Think cherry blossoms are cool? Wait till you meet all the other spring blossoms that make this season so special in High Park and Toronto. From the fleeting spring ephemerals that emerge for a few short weeks to the brilliant blooms of early summer, there’s plenty of plants to get to know. You may be familiar with trilliums, but there’s a lot more to discover like bloodroot, trout lily, wild ginger, may apple, and Canada anemone. Throughout the walk, we’ll discuss plant identification, how they fit into the ecosystem, conservation concerns, and what you can do to help protect and promote native plants.
