Description

Our Mission
It is the mission of the Foundation to enhance the financial sustainability of the Centre, thereby ensuring that children and youth from across the region with physical, developmental or communication needs continue to receive the therapy services they require to achieve their full potential.
We accomplish this mandate by inspiring our community to act through education, outreach and professional fund development and management.
Our activity falls into two broad categories of support. We are focused on annual fundraising, working with individuals, corporations, foundations, service clubs and other organizations, to support continued quality program delivery. However, our Foundation directors are also thinking long-term.
As a result, we are in the process of building a multi-million dollar endowment in order to ensure that the programs and services offered to our children will be available far into the future.
About CHILDREN'S TREATMENT CENTRE FOUNDATION OF CHATHAM-KENT
For 65 years, the dedicated and caring therapists at the Children's Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent have assisted babies, toddlers and youth from birth through to age 18 with their physical, developmental and communication needs. Their programs, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech language therapy, audiology, social work, respite and a range of adapted recreation programs such as music therapy, aquatic therapy and sledge hockey, ensure every child in the community can realize their full potential. The Foundation was established to raise community awareness and much-needed dollars to complement core provincial funding and support enhanced programming of value to children and their families. This programming is delivered from the Centre's Chatham base as well as at several outreach hubs across the expansive Municipality of Chatham-Kent.Read more
