Description

The FRIENDS of Waterloo Region Museum is a registered charitable foundation.  Our board works in partnership with the Region of Waterloo Museums' staff and volunteers to raise funds to primarily support Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum and Doon Heritage Village.  The FRIENDS' work helps bring history to life at our museums and supports and contributes to the preservation of the heritage, culture and traditions of Waterloo Region.
Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum is the largest community museum in Ontario. The main gallery tells the story of Waterloo Region and the feature gallery showcases local and travelling exhibits from around the world.  Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum is open year-round and is the entrance to Doon Heritage Village.  The Village is open seasonally from May to December and is a picturesque 60-acre living history village that shows visitors what life was like in Waterloo Region in 1914.  One admission price includes entry to the museum exhibit galleries and village.  Museum Website
