About KANATA BAPTIST CHURCH CONGREGATION INC.
We believe God is calling us to an exciting ministry as we are faithful to his purposes. He has a wonderful future for us and has given us a mission. Our desire is to share together the essentials of our faith, to affirm what we believe about God and his kingdom, and to reanimate the ministries we carry out in the name of Jesus Christ.
Kanata Baptist Church understands the healthy role an active Christian community can play in society, and wants to play that healthy role. Furthering the cause of religion in society, we provide Christian education and spiritual support to all who may choose to attend or participate, and so also offer an opportunity for all who would join us for public worship.
In addition to our regular youth work, Summer Camp, and ministry programming for all ages, KBC is active in community support, hosting eight free dinners for the marginalized in our area at our ‘Open Table’, a free ‘garage sale’ once a year, running Fairy Godmother, a chance for high school students to get a prom dress at no cost, and seeking to offer personal support for people in our community wherever such Christian support would be helpful and welcome.
Kanata Baptist Church is known in the Kanata community as a caring place, and one that has been a significant part of initiating positive community works such as a low-cost housing development, hospice care, and joint work with other congregations in Ottawa.
