Sinfonia Toronto will embark on a tour of Europe with two brilliant guest stars at their “Schumann and De Falla” concert! Italian pianist Antonio Di Cristofano will take listeners to Germany as he performs Robert Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor. Mezzosoprano Beste Kalender will tour Spain and the Italian countryside with De Falla’s Seven Popular Spanish Songs and Respighi’s Il Tramonto, both skillfully arranged for Sinfonia Toronto by Maestro Nurhan Arman. Anton Arensky's Variations on a Theme of Tchaikovsky, a masterclass in Russian Romanticism will be performed and to continue the 25th anniversary celebrations the orchestra will premiere two more pieces.
