STARS - Student Theatre Active Representatives Society Verified listing

STARS – the Student Theatre Active Representatives Society – is a volunteer-run registered charity made of up of families, friends and supporters of Burlington Student Theatre. STARS funds enhancements to Student Theatre’s programs and encourages youth participation in arts activities in and around Burlington, Ontario.
In recent years, STARS has used its fundraising proceeds to:

provide honoraria to the emerging musicians who make up the Mainstage orchestra
purchase microphones that can be used at both the Student Theatre Centre and the Burlington Performing Arts Centre
bring in professional artists to work with students at Student Theatre

STARS was created by participants of Burlington Student Theatre in the mid-1990s and became a registered charity in 2001.
