Description
Toronto’s West End Micro Music Festival, titled ANACHROPHONIA, offers 4 performances of genre-bending, world-class chamber music featuring a roster of brilliant international and Canadian talent. Across four programmes, ANACHROPHONIA will explore the collision of Baroque, Renaissance, and Medieval music with contemporary works, charting a course across time and leading audiences to a sonic landscape that eludes simple classification. With a truly diverse curatorial palette that melds Korean traditional music, electronics, improvisation, and avant-garde compositional techniques with music from the 12th to 18th centuries, ANACHROPHONIA looks beyond the common perceptions of classical chamber music.
