is a local and international development foundation committed to the general well-being of children.
Waladi believes that the education and intellectual development of young minds is an
on-going process and necessary to cope with changing environments and poverty.
It is our mission to work for global improvements in the health, safety and education of children everywhere.
About WALADI CHILD EDUCATION FUND OF TORONTO

Waladi could be your child, your grandchild, your niece or nephew, and the kid next door. Waladi, which means “my child” in Arabic, is everyone’s child. As the old African proverb goes, “it takes a village to raise a child.”

Waladi is the brainchild of Simon Kattar, Executive Chef and co-owner of à la Carte Kitchen Inc., in Toronto. It is a registered charity dedicated to providing an education to children at home and around the world
