Description
ECC’s program of beautiful choral music offers a reflection on the eternal mysteries of life, death and love. The choir will perform the expressive Requiem Mass in C Minor by Luigi Cherubini accompanied by a 26-piece orchestra. The gorgeous Nänie, composed in 1881 by Johannes Brahms, in memory of a friend, offers a timeless lament on beauty and loss. The romantic Liebeslieder Waltzes, Op. 52 by Johannes Brahms offer a wide ranging exploration on the topic of love, inspired by the folk songs and love poems of Georg Friedrich Daumer. The choir will perform the recent English-language translation of the waltzes to better share their intriguing stories.
